I know a lot of people hate greens, and have trouble getting them into their daily lives. I’ve recently come across a great way to get some green food into your diet. This recipe leaves a lot of room for your own creativity. It’s supposed to be composed of about 1/3 banana, 1/3 green veggies, and 1/3 watery fruit and water.
- 1 banana
- handful of spinach or couple leaves of kale or 1/2 cup of brocolli or some amount of dark greens of your choice
- watery fruit could be an apple, blueberries, pineapple, strawberries, any combination of them or your favorite fruit as long as it has a high water content 🙂
- 1 cup water
Throw all the ingredients into a blender and enjoy 🙂
Adding blended greens to your diet is great way for your body to easily absorb all the nutrients they have to offer. Since some greens are pretty tough it’s hard for our digestive systems to fully break down all the food. So, once in a while give your tummy a break and let your blender do the work!
